Motherhood of the Heart

In this entry I’m going to tell you about a special kind of motherhood: motherhood of the heart. I’m sure none of you ever heard about it; I can’t blame you: I named it, because I couldn’t find a type of motherhood that would suit my kind. I am a mother of the Heart, a woman who deeply loves other human beings with true motherlove, and these persons love her back with the dedication and affection that only children – sons and daughters – have. And they do call her “mom”. So, a mother of the heart is at halfway between an adoptive mother and a biological mother: she didn’t give birth to her children, but her love gave birth to a connection to her children’s hearts, who are now linked to hers. A motherhood that’s mostly spiritual and pure. But for that, so much precious and cherishable.
